The iTunes hacking that
took place over the July 4th weekend was short-lived, as the developer Thuat Nguyen and his apps were booted soon thereafter. Now, however, it appears Apple is looking for some folks to police fraud in the iTunes store.

Reportedly, only a
small percentage of iTunes accounts were compromised: less than 0.0003 percent, in fact. Still, Apple is working to make sure it won't happen again.
In addition to adding CCV code verification more often, Apple is looking for fraud prevention specialists. One was
this (
since removed) Fraud Prevention Specialist (below).

This person would "cancel fraudulent orders" and "research and resolve fraud escalations from various sources." That would have been great in the earlier incident, although it was a holiday weekend, anyway.
While that req has been removed (already hired, we hope), there's
another in Apple's job postings that (at the time of this writing) is still there.

It should be noted that these are coincidental, though timely. The remaining req was posted prior to the incident, in mid-June.
Even if this incident affected only a small percentage of users, if you're one of those users, its 100 percent for you. One key: make sure you use a strong password. Another key: don't use the same password everywhere. Finally, be careful about
possible phishing attacks, which could be used to grab your password(s).
