New iPhone 4 malfunctions at Steve Jobs presentation

I just watched the local news and the item about Steve Jobs and his new iPhone presentation was a bit humorous. I know, how can a tech talk be funny? In this case, because the new iPhone 4 that Jobs was debuting refused to work right.

The new mobile phone wouldn't jump on WiFi. Why? The newscaster said that Jobs figured it out after admitting a malfunction. Apparently, so many techies in the audience were surfing the net at the same time as Steve Jobs was showing off the new iPhone off that this caused an overload.

Poor Steve. Actually, after writing that I realize how untrue that statement is -- in all ways. The Apple head honcho took things in stride, at least as far as we, the public, were able to discern, but I bet he wasn't all that pleased with the temporary technological glitch in San Francisco, not far from the Silicon Valley, today.

Actually, ironically, I've had some WiFi problems right in Silicon Valley. I found a black hole in the hotel where I was staying and so had to hook up with Broadband and work at the desk instead of being able to lounge on the big, bouncy bed while I typed. Oh, the hardships of all this nifty technology.

And, no, I won't be buying the iPhone 4, malfunctions or not. How about you? Did the Steve Jobs presentation lure you into wanting to own this new gadget with all its wonderful apps? Please weigh in.
